Hello! Welcome to my journal, my name is Sara and I'm an American living in Australia. In 2005, I married my husband, Daniel, and came to live permanently in Australia in July 2005. Recently I took a holiday back up to America to visit my family, it was a lot of fun! Something I'll never forget!

I write about anything and everything in my journal, I try to post photos - one a day for the 365 project. Although I don't always get up to it every day, but none the less I'm still doing 365 days, even if it takes me longer than that to get in the mood to upload the photos. Any imput to the photos is always appreciated. Oh, I think it also should be said that I am an animal freak... I currently have an aviary in my kitchen, 5 mice, a heap of fish, a lot of finches and three cockatiels. I have two cats though, Lucy and Sam that live at my father-in-law's house...

Now onto the more important stuff, a lot of my life I don't like to talk about in my journal, but something you should know is I'm suffering quite badly from post natal depression. I had my son on the 8th of June 2006, and he's got a global developmental delay. He can't talk, and he's most definitely not like a three year old is supposed to be... although he's finally starting to make some progress... This causes me a lot of pain, a lot of stress, and I don't talk about it that often. When I do, it's normally in rant form. This doesn't mean anything beyond I need to get it off my chest. This is a big thing for me as we don't have any support or any real "friends" that help us or even listen to us when we need someone. So this is my journal, if you don't want to read it, I'm not forcing you to but if you do, I always appreciate some advice or even a hug once in a while... even a virtual one!

So welcome to my life, it's not pretty, but it's something I have to deal with on a day to day basis. Be aware I'm a toyvoyager freak and I constantly have my toyvoyagers traveling around the world. I love it, I also love Postcrossing. I've gotten postcards from many many countries around the world, it's so much fun!
